This session will overview clinical considerations from inpatient to outpatient care for children with cardiopulmonary involvement. An overview of common pediatric cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions will be provided. Importance of developmentally supportive initiatives in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit and its connection to outpatient care will be discussed. An overview of post operative management of pediatric patients undergoing heart surgeries and implications for outpatient monitoring will be provided. Lastly, discussion will occur on the importance of survivorship programs.
