Using current evidence, this session will present ways to incorporate course knowledge and elevate learning thru activities outside of the classroom. Interprofessional clinics and service learning projects provide opportunities for student engagement and integration of knowledge and clinical reasoning skills. These activities give students the opportunity to practice with supervision, receive feedback, and be led through a guided reflection to increase knowledge, solidify competencies, and gain professional skills. Guidance in establishing Interprofessional teams and identifying community needs for service learning projects will be outlined and discussed. This session will also discuss clinic and project scheduling, appropriate staffing, and feedback schedule used to reach learning outcomes for students. This content can apply to both PTs and PTAs.
