FAQs APTA Pediatrics Annual Conference 2023

Who can attend APTA Pediatrics Annual Conference (AC)?

Anyone! In addition to physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and physical therapy students in the US and abroad, there are events that may be appropriate for OTs and COTAs as well (you can apply for Single-Course Provider Approval from AOTA if you wish).

What is included in Attendee Registration for APTA Pediatrics AC?

Registrants will have access to all in-person sessions at APTA Pediatrics AC – you’ll have more than 50 sessions to choose from in a variety of pediatric physical therapy specialty areas, because the programming is created in collaboration with our 10 special interest groups. With multiple tracks, you’re able to tailor your educational experience to your specific needs and interests! You’ll also have access to the poster and platform presentations, practice fair, exhibit hall, social events, and more! AC will provide 20.5 contact hours of high-quality pediatric therapy education.

Those who register for in-person AC may also choose to register for on-demand AC at a discounted rate. On-demand AC is perfect for those who wish to experience additional sessions from AC or who aren’t able to attend AC in person. On-demand AC will be made available from Dec 1, 2023 - Feb 1, 2024.

How will I get my CEU certificate?

Your CEU certificate will be provided through the AC website and accessed by selecting the CEUs & Evaluations option on the left-hand navigation menu after the conference. Your CEU certificate will only reflect the total number of contact hours/CEUs.

How will my licensing board know which sessions I attended?

Attendees can track session attendance by completing the session evaluations via the conference app (evaluations will be found at the bottom of each session listing). After AC, you can download a listing of all your attended sessions for your records. To check what is required in your state, contact your chapter office.

Will attending the APTA Pediatrics Annual Conference help me prepare for the Pediatric Certified Specialist exam?

Yes! A list of specific sessions that may be particularly useful for PCS preparation is posted in the below document!

How do pre-conference courses work?

You have the option to attend pre-conference courses in addition to AC. Preconference courses are held over the 2 days leading up to AC. You do not need to attend AC to attend the pre-conference courses. Pre-conference courses will provide separate CEU certificates.
